Bioaesthetics
Bioaesthetics is a large site (200 pages) relating to three core hypotheses about how we perceive and interact with the world. It draws together many diverse fields - semiotics, mimetics, art, architecture, writing, film, mythology, neurobiology, etc, into one unified theory. And it is highly relevant to marketing.
Unlike the Wavecrest marketing site, it is not too well organised - it was developed purely for me to have somewhere to list and begin to organise my thoughts, prior to publication, and to play with some (often very unsuccessful) layouts. But it's clear now that this is not going to be published until I retire - so I thought it best to start sharing some of this material with those who are interested. If you get lost in its rambling canyons, apologies - but you will find some treasures there you can use to great advantage, and some views from its peaks that will radically change the way you perceive the world.
There are three main hypotheses: Sentic, Explorer, and Quest
Sentic
This is about the brain triggers that enable people to communicate their emotions to one another:
Explorer
This is about the brain triggers that enable us to move through our environment and find what we need.
And then, moving on to deal with the belief that as we evolved into humans, half of the part of the brain that had previously dealt with navigating the landscape around it (and was hardwired for this purpose), was taken over by language. Language (and much of our thought) thus has an underlying structure akin to the landscape around us, and employs the same brain triggers:

Quest
The brain triggers that enable people to interact with each other in the struggle for survival
