The Climax

It
is where
everything comes to a head.
The focus, the coming-together, the climax.
It does have a unique feeling. Of anticipation,
of arousal, of the pause before…
the new emerges. But what? The Climax is
another way of directing attention, like the concentric circles
of a nipple, or the cleavage between two
spheres pressed together. It is a pyramid, or rather, the point of a pyramid or
a triangle…
or a nipple or an eye… where they lead to a
point in the centre, instead of at the top. And in the cleavage, the curves of
the two
domes either side, which lead to the cusp of a
hollow triangle. And it has equivalent in sound, in the pregnant pause…
before a new motif emerges from a surging
introduction, it is in the passage leading to a caesura.
And it has its equivalent in touch... Try it on
your partner… tell them to shut their
eyes, then run a finger lightly over their body
towards…
then lift it off and pause. That’s the
feeling.
And it’s there in every
sense…

…do I have your attention?
