The Surge…

It fans
out, grows rapidly, spurts… something new is happening, something new is being
born,
it says …be aroused.

Of course, if it’s a static image rather than
an exploding firework,
and we provide the movement by the direction we
read it, then we can read not only from the centre out,
when it appears to us as a surge… but also as
an insect might, from the outside in, towards
the centre – since for an insect, the flower is
really
a landing strip…

and is thus an arrival Climax…
with the coloured petals as airstrip landing
lights – and in this case
even a tube connection to the centre of town,
to the
nectar and pollen at the heart
of the flower.
The focal point of the pathway to food and
pollination,
is then followed by the Surge
of departure.
The flower has the archetypal experiential
structure of a portal.
Climax, Caesura, Surge
And it is rather old - human beings did
not invent this aspect of
consciousness
either.
