Assimilation...

Get a Grip!

But we are overlooking something vital.

Before we can accomplish the first step in assimilating anything,

we must get a Grip on our target.

A virus gets a Grip on its target cell by a biochemical lock and key mechanism,

between the protein of its outer shell, and the protein of the

outer shell of the cell. RNA provides a template

on which amino acids assemble, and then

link to one another. Hormones

attach themselves amongst

other places, to nerve

cells, triggering a

transformation...

Sharks do it with their teeth,

tigers with their claws,

snakes inject venom

to buy the time they need, and

scorpions use a sting.

The point of attachment between

us and the vehicle taking us where we want to go

is a seat, using gravity to hold us there.

The link between us and  the

information we seek

is the Index or

Title...

Always,

for an assimilation to

occur, the assimilator has to

Grip the assimilatee while the transformation

happens. Obvious, huh? But you would

be amazed to see how often

this basic fact is ignored

by those who wish to communicate

with someone else. To assimilate, you have to

hold their attention. You have to lure

them with a Secret, offer Help

to them in a task that

is important to

them, or

present yourself

as an obstacle

in their

path.

In the

task of thinking,

the point of attachment

may be short term memory, the

notes one writes, a list of topics one will

consider, a file on one's laptop, a shopping list.

Otherwise it will not be preserved for

when it is needed.

So... Get a

Grip!
